The chamber is of the mechanised type contg. a conveyor and has means for loading and discharging the prod. The conveyor is fitted with a succession of individual carrier pans. Each pan accommodates and conveys only a single dough piece. The conveyor pref. follows a path in a closed circuit and provides a single station for both loading and discharging. Used as a bakery proving chamber for bread dough pieces prior to moulding. The use of individual carrier pans reduces mechanical handling and transferring of each dough piece. The dough receives full benefit of the proving chamber process since it no longer suffers local restressing which detracts from the quality of the finished -loaf. The design of the cable conveyor can be readily adapted to suit space limitations of a bakery.
