PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine ignition device for performing the continuous current carrying avoiding control for forcibly stopping the ignition output from a power source in order to prevent the breakdown of an ignition coil to be a cause of the misfire of an engine, and provide a gas heat pump type air conditioner provided with this engine ignition device. SOLUTION: A room-outside controller (ECU 61) is provided with a microcomputer C for carrying out the engine ignition control program, and outputs the ignition signal (α2-α5) per each of four cylinders, and outputs the output control signal (α1) to an output control device F for controlling the output of a power source to each ignition coil (G1-G4) from an ignition power source E. A Fig. 3 is a timing chart for expressing the control signal to be output, and (1) means the first cylinder ignition output signalα2, (2) means the second cylinder ignition output signalα3, (3) means the third cylinder ignition output signalα4, (4) means the fourth cylinder ignition output signalα5, and (5) means the ignition control output signalα1.
