PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an alternator for vehicle which can obtain a higher voltage generated across the lines and also obtain a large current generated under high speed rotation. SOLUTION: First windings 41, 51, 61 are Y-connected and second windings 42, 52, 62 having the phase difference of 120 deg. in terms of the electric angle with the first windings 41, 51, 61 are connected in series with the first windings 41, 51, 61. Each connecting portion between the first windings 41, 51, 61 and the second windings 42, 52, 62 is connected to a pair of 3-phase diode bridges, and each end portion of the second windings 42, 52, 62 is also connected with another pair of diode bridges.
