PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvements in treating performance with a catheter for treating a blood vessel and healing performance of an incision wound at an insertion point P thereof by enabling the insertion of a large-diameter catheter along with a higher efficiency and a speeding up by simplifying the process of insertion and retention thereof at the insertion point P in a catheter introducer which is previously retained at the insertion point P of the catheter into skin and a blood vessel to function as guide for the insertion thereof when it is inserted into the blood vessel. SOLUTION: In the catheter introducer 1, a cutting edge head part 3 in which cutting edge parts 6 each having a cutting edge 7, with the shape of a knife blade or a scalpel blade, erected being extended in the longitudinal direction of a tubule 2 on the outer circumference of a tapered tube body 5 comprising a tip small-diameter port S and a large-diameter port L are securely arranged at equal quarterly divided positions of the circumference thereof is installed at the tip of the tubule 2 that is inserted and retained into the blood vessel 11 to guide the insertion of the catheter 12 and the skin 10 and the blood vessel 11 are incised by the cutting edge head part 3 to insert and dwell the tubule into the blood vessel 11. |
