FIRE-RETARDING RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire-retarding resin composition which does not contain halogens, has a high fire-retardancy and good mechanical properties and is applicable to a cover layer of an electric wire or a cable and to a material for a conduit tube. SOLUTION: This fire-retarding resin composition is obtained by adding 10-200 pts.wt. of a metal hydroxide and 1-30 pts.wt. of zinc stannate and/or hydroxy zinc stannate to 100 pts.wt. of a polyolefin resin.
