PURPOSE:To shorten the overall length of a braking power multiplier for a car and to prevent the noise and vibration, by overlapping the seal section for maintaining air-tight between the central opening in the rear wall and the power piston shaft to the shaft section. CONSTITUTION:A metallic ring 36 has a small diameter front section 36a and large diameter section 36b where rubber seal members 38 are secured to the inside. The seal member 38 has a lip section 38a extending rearwardly to be contacted with the outercircumference of shaft section 12c, a section 38b adjoining to the front end of said metallic ring 36 to be contacted with inner circumference of the circumferential wall 11c, and a section 38c adjoining to the front face of a bearing ring 37. The front section at the root of lip section 38a is scooped into a ring, and under non- operating state the outer end of radial path 12f is lapped over the front end of sealing member 38. Consequently the air flow into a rear chamber 15 is limited to prevent the noise and the vibration. |
