<p>PURPOSE:To reduce working processes of forming a pot-shaped outer core of stationary core used for an electromagnetic brake and subsequently reduce the production cost, by first punching preset external and internal circumferences and a through hole for lead wires out of an iron plate and then forming the material to the pot-shape. CONSTITUTION:A compact excitation-controlled type electromagnetic brake uses at its axial center a stationary iron core composed of a pot-shaped external core 2 having a through hole 2a and a cylindrical internal core 4 fitted in the through hole 2, the external core 2 also having a through hole 2d for lead wires 6a of an exciting coil 6. For manufacturing this external core 2, an iron plate is cut to a size A and then punched with a press to a size B having through holes 2a, 2d and external circumference which decides the finished shape of a product, and finally pressed to form a pot shape. After drawing out through the through hole 2d of the core 2, the lead wires 6a are protected with silicon rubber 15 etc. filled in the hole 2d.</p> |
