<p>PURPOSE:To produce shock absorbing material for packaging etc. by revolving a scrap tire, and cutting the tire in peeled state by means of cutting tolls, into slender tape form, and cutting the shaped material into proper length, and thus forming shock absorbing material. CONSTITUTION:In production, each divided piece of a core material 1 is inserted successively into the inside of a scrap tire 8, and the center shaft 6 of a revolution shaft 3 is inserted into the center hole 2 of the core material 1. Then, the seat metal 9 having nearly equal diameter to the collar part 5 is inserted onto the screw shaft 7 and fixed by a nut 10, and the revolution shaft 3 is fixed onto the core material 1. Thus, the scrap tire 8, core material 1, and the revolution shaft 3 are united. Then, on a lathe, the supporting shaft 4A at the left end of the revolution shaft 3 is put between the chuck 13 of the rotary surface panel 12 of the lathe 11, and the supporting shaft 4 at the right end is supported by a supporting shaft 4. The lathe 11 is revolved, and then scrap tire 8 is revolved, and shaped in peeled state by means of bite, and the peeled tire is cut in proper length, and thus shock absorbing material is produced.</p> |
