Powder press with vibrator - has second vibrator causing direct vibration in end face of second tool

The powder press uses static pressure on which oscillations are superimposed, having two press tools acting against the material, one of which is coupled to a vibrator. The opposite press tool faces are caused to vibrate in anti-phase, thus generating a potential antinode. A second vibrator is connected to the second tool, causing direct vibration in it end face. The distance between the coupling face in a node of each vibrator (34, 36) and the centre of the chamber (10) accommodating the material can be an odd-number multiple of a quarter-wavelength of the oscillations.
