The housing (1) is made of transparent or translucent material, at least at frontside, and contains a glow lamp (2). The connector leads (4) of the lamp are entered into the ends of the insulated connecting cables (6), for which the latter are slightly enlarged to give a funnel-shaped channel. The housing can be closed by a bottom part, snap connected to it. This bottom forms a metal clip (5) with two lugs (7), which are deformable to grip the cable insulation and so assist in making the electrical connection between cable and lead secure. Two spring lugs (8) press into recesses (10) in the inside of the lamp housing (1), thus locating the lamp and lead assembly inside the housing. The location thus provided for the clip also gives the axial tension relief to the cables and leads. In addition to the lamp, the housing also contains the lamp ballast.
