<p>A multi-layer protective coating is applied to concrete walls, brickwork, flat roofs or other mineral surfaces by producing a self-hardening layer of a cold-working adhesive compound, in which a web of a thin foil is embedded. The foil is made of elastic material which retains water and which carries, at least on one side, a layer of textile material or of glass fibre mat; the latter is bonded or welded or joined to the foil by uniformly distributed, bonded or welded spots. This creates with a minimum of cost and labour an efficient sealing material for tunnels and foundations against ground water, in spite of cracks in the masonry.</p> |
