Contactless heating of metal tools in the dentist laboratory when processing wax eliminates pollution accompanying conventional heating by gas. At the same time, it facilitates handling of the tools and also ensures portability. The magnetic field is generated by a coil (5) settable to optimise the ergonomics of the work. The melting and drop forming unit is made of ceramic or other material imbedding a ferromagnetic core with a Curie point matching the melt temp. of wax. The coil is on an insulator (1) encapsulating the ferromagnetic core (2) and the mould (8) which features the dropping spout (4). |
