<p>The connecting method is for use with electronic components having lead tails, e.g. resistors or small capacitors. In order to make a connection without soldering an eyelet is formed at each lead (1, 2) end of the component (14). An insulation separator (4), typically in the form of a washer, is then placed between the eyelets. A bolt is then passed through the eyelets and the insulation washer. With the bolt making contact with one lead end, the other one is pressed against a conductor on the printed circuit board (19) when the bolt is passed through the board and tightened. The bolt forms the other terminal, and a solder tag (21) can be placed under the nut before tightening. It can be used for attaching an interconnector.</p> |
