<p>The high pressure cleaning appliance is equipped with a high-pressure pump which passes cold water from a feed tank to a heating coil in a boiler. The boiler firebox is heated by an oil or gas burner and the hot water produced by the boiler is taken to a hose with a spray gun. A bypass can be opened to direct cold water directly to the spray gun. The boiler includes a burner, a firebox and a re-entrant combustion chamber while the hot water system consists of the high-pressure coil, an expansion vessel and a safety valve. A high-pressure water pump for a pressure of 60-130 bar draws cold water from a float controlled feed tank which is connected to the water mains. The hot water is delivered to a spray gun and the bypass is controlled by a 3-way valve or solenoid valve to direct cold water straight to the spray gun.</p> |
