Invention proposes the novel biologically active compound 2-amino-6-(1-ethyl-2-methyl-4- nitroimidazolyl-5)-thiopurine inhibiting proliferation of lymphocytes. 2-Amino-6-(1-ethyl-2-methyl-4- nitriomidazolyl-5)-thiopurine inhibits the primary immune response of animals for thymus-depending and thymus- nondepending antigens effectively. These preparations can be used in practical medicine for carrying out immunodepressive and antileukosis therapy.
