Flour sieving machine has a vertical cylindrical screen which is swept by brush beater elements. Mounted below this and outside it, is a second cylindrical screen also swept by brushes. Below the second screen, is an outlet conical hopper for the screened material. Should a hole develop in the primary screen, the secondary screen collects and rejects any oversize. The oversize runs off through a separate outlet in which a detector is mounted.
