<p>The drive for a number of textile machines, e.g. two motors for two open ended spinning machines uses a fault protection system with a current summing unit between the machines and the main supply. One connection is taken to one of the phases of one motor and two connections are taken to two phases of the other motor. The remaining connections are made directly with the three phase supply. In an alternative system, three or six motors are used for three false twisting machines. Two phases of each motor or pair of motors are connected directly to three phase supply, and one phases of each is connected through a summing device to the mains.</p> |
