PURPOSE:To automatically change treating conditions, by providing support kind discrimination signs on a spool around which a support is wound and by installing a sign detection means near the position of the spool. CONSTITUTION:A spool 11 having flanges 12 is supported with a shaft 11a on a spool stand 13. Concentric signs 14 are provided on both the sides of the flange 12 to discriminate the kind of a support wound around the spool 11. The signs vary depending on the kind of the support. The signs 14 are detected by sensors 15, 16. The signs 14 and the sensors 15, 16 are composed of signs different in density or color and photosensors, sheets different in magnetic intensity and magnetic sensors or the like. If a black and a white annular signs 14a, 14b of prescribed widths are provided, four kinds of supports can be discriminated from one another by combination of black and black, and black and white, white and black and white and white. |
