<p>The supply hopper of an injection moulding unit which is fixed horizontally to the mould closing unit by a detachable supporting structure, is attached by an approximately horizontally running connecting piece, serving as a transport shaft, and by a conveying arrangement which moves the feedstock in the transport shaft forward independently of gravity, with which is forms a unit to the plasticiser. The unit is attached to the plasticiser cylinder by a spigot and socket bearing, which permits the hopper to be turned through >=90 degrees around the axis of the transport shaft and fixed where required. To provide an injection unit fo relatively simple design which can be attached either to a horizontal or a vertical mould closing arrangement. With it, whether injection of the plasticised mass takes place transversely to the mould joint or directly into the mould joint, and from whatever conceivable point of attachment of the unit, the synthetic material can be transported uniformly into the plasticising cylinder.</p> |
