Rope-down or abseiling equipment - has reel driven by uncoiling steel band suspension and driving gear pump with closed circuit operation

The rope-down equipment in two-part housing is suspended by an eyelet to a suitable fixed point in the building. The housing contains a reel seated in housing wall by a stub while the body of the reel carries a geared wheel with inner and outer toothing. During the lowering of the person suspended from the harness the steel band is uncoiled from the storage space formed by flanges and the inner toothing of gear wheel drives via a gear pump via a gear fitted on the shaft. The gear pump operates in closed circuit providing controlled braking for the lowering operation. To oncoil the steel band after use of the equipment a spring motor is fitted in the housing which is being wound-on during the lowering operation by the outer toothing of gear wheel via gear wheels.
