In a drying chamber, for laundry and other textile materials, where the air is to be used is drawn in from outside to be compressed and heated, most of the drying air is drawn out of the chamber through at least one opening (17) in the base (5) of the chamber interior. The design ensures that the moisture-laden air is extracted efficiently.
