The jig comprises a base (1) with fixed dowel pins (7) which engage with corresponding holes (8) in the circuit board holding plate (2) and in the drilling template (3). The circuit board holding plate has dowels for locating the circuit board (5) with respect to the holding plate. The dowels on the circuit board holding plate can be moved to accommodate a variety of board positions and sizes. The dowel positions on the plate correspond with preselected hole positions in the blank boards, these positions being decided by the board size. The arrangement ensures that boards are always correctly registered with respect to the drilling template when the jig is closed, regardless of the board position and/or size.
