Motor vehicles are supplied from factories to dealers with a protective wax coating for conservation purposes prior to actual sale. The wax removing installation contains a channel, or tunnel, through which the vehicles are continuously moved. The wax removing channel (10) is provided by closable inlet and outlet gates (13), coupled to an exhaust drive for the wax-solvent vapours. Pref. in front of the inlet gate (12) is provided an air duct (15). The actual gates (11) are typically of lifting type. They are driven by electric motors controlled by light barriers (16) in front of the individual gates. The exhaust device may consist of a washing tower, behind which is connected a ventilator and possibly a filter. The upper end of the tower may have fresh water supply, while its lower end may be connected to a return line to a distilling plant.
|
