PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting pedestal for a hanging basket capable of preventing overturn of the hanging basket and readily carrying out operations such as planting or pruning when operations such as the planting or pruning of a plant are carried out with the hanging basket. SOLUTION: This supporting pedestal for the hanging basket is capable of mounting the hanging basket in a nearly upright posture close to an actual installed state on the supporting pedestal and readily carrying out the planting, pruning, etc., of the plant in the state. The supporting pedestal is composed by using a lightweight material such as wood and combining simple linear square timbers with platy materials.
