PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent game media from falling out of a game machine by stopping the dispensing of the game media if a front opening member is open. SOLUTION: The CPU of a main board checks to see whether or not a dispensing stopping state is established in which the dispensing of game balls from a ball dispensing device is stopped. If the dispensing stopping state is not established, it then checks to see whether or not a ball absence flag, a full flag or a door opening flag is turned on. If either of the flags is changed into an on state, a command transmission table about commands for designating the dispensing stopping state is set and the process of setting commands is called. During the process of setting commands, the command for designating the dispensing stopping state is output to a dispensing control board. Thus, when the front door of the game machine is open and the door opening flag is turned on, a dispensing control means stops the dispensing of the game balls from the ball dispensing device according to the command of the game control means.
