The housing is for a strip-lighting unit with trough-shaped reflector, the latter closed at the ends by end walls fixed to it. The end walls (2) have locking and guiding bosses (2a, 2b, 2c) protruding at right angles to their faces, and with locking portions (2e) engaging in openings (1b, 1c) situated one after the other in the reflector in the lengthwise direction of the latter. The bosses can be so shaped as to position the walls exactly in the vertical and lateral directions in relation to the reflector, allowing sliding movement only in the lengthwise direction of the latter.
