PURPOSE:To obtain a box which is efficient to manufacture and shows a good finished appearance by a method wherein grooves are formed on boundaries between the correspondent to the bottom plate and those to each side plate on a surface of a developed body of a box made from thermoplastic resin, the correspondents to each groove are heated and the correspondents to each side plate are stood up. CONSTITUTION:A plate material which is made from thermoplastic resin and has been cut according to specified dimensions is cut precisely on a bench 2 to form a developed body 14 of a box having developed shape of the box composed of a correspondent 9 to a bottom plate and those 10, 11, 12, 13 to side plates. Simultaneously with the said cutting, pressure cutters 6 are abutted against the boundaries between the correspondent 9 to the bottom plate and those 10-13 to each side plate on a surface 15 of the box development body 14, the said boundaries are pushed and crashed, and V-section grooves 17 are formed, while, since the pressure cutters 6 correspond to opening grooves 3, the corresponding positions 16a of the grooves 17 on a rear side 16 of the box development body 14 are heated and softened by heating elements 4. It is necessary to heat the positions 17a at least to the softening point of the resin as a box material. |
