PURPOSE:To allow the heat exchanger of a hot-water boiler to be unit for simplifying handling and providing variety for the product by lengthwise placing the heat exchanger, which consists of the inner and outer cylinders and forms a flue by choking the ends of the gap between the cylinders, in the furnace body, at a fixed distance from its inner circumference. CONSTITUTION:Combustion gas of high temperature formed in a combustor 10 passes through a combustion chamber 6, and enters the first flue 7a. The gas is divided into two at the opening end 6b of the combustion chamber 6. Each of the divided gas turns either of rithtward or leftward in the second flue 7b through a fuel-connecting part 8b, and joins the other in the vicinity of an exhaust pipe 9, before being discharged from the pipe 9. By the constitution, since all the wall faces of the flues are heat exchanging faces for the gas passing through the flues, a compact heat exchanger can have a large heat exchanging area, so that a large heat exchange efficiency can be obtained. Thus, since the heat exchanger is allowed to be unit, handling is made ready, and altering only the length of the inner and outer cylinders permits the capacity to be changed, so that the product can be provided with variety. |
