PURPOSE:To enable the indication of set time of more than a number of displayed digits, by selectively displaying the upper or lower bits of the counted value of a down counter which counts a remaining time on a timer. CONSTITUTION:When a desired number of frequency division outputs of a frequency divider circuit 2 are counted by an up counter 5 and preset as a timer set time in a down counter 4, the counter 4 starts counting the frequency division outputs of the circuit 2 downward to count a remaining time on a timer. The counted value of the remaining time is compared with a prescribed number in a comparison circuit 11. The upper or lower bits of the counted value counted by the counter 4 are selectively applied as outputs depending on which of the counted value and the prescribed number is larger. The remaining time is then indicated on a display unit 8. The indication of a set time such as the timer remaining time of more than the number of bits of the display unit 8 is shifted depending on conditions. Appropriate display is thus enabled. |
