<p>The device, with optional remote or direct control, provides for correct alignment and spacing of sleepers before fixing on railway track bedding. It comprises two units each with two pairs of wheels, and with arms providing rotatable mounting, fitted with contact segments and terminal switches. Electronic equipment provides for setting of any partitioning lengths, or sleeper intervals required; selection of these in conformity with external curve radius or track centre line; registration of left or right curve and transmission to metering wheel; impulse transmission to electromagnets, evaluation and alteration of gauge correction.</p> |
