PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical system and electronic components from being adversely affected due to heat generated from a light source and a circuit board which are for modulating and controlling the light source. SOLUTION: A light-emitting port 20a, through which the light from a light source device 20 is emitted, is arranged in a housing 24, and the housing 24 is kept in a nearly hermetically sealed state, where an LD control board 19 for modulating and controlling a semiconductor laser being the light source according to image data and allowing it to flicker, i.e. emit light strongly or weakly is exposed to the outside of the housing 24. Thus, the temperature inside the housing 24 is prevented from being raised by the heat generated in the control board 19, so as to prevent image nonconformities from occurring due to the temperature of the respective component disposed inside the housing 24 rises, causing deformation or positional fluctuation of each components.
