PURPOSE:A skin cosmetic for removing an ephelis or a liver spot without skin irritation, comprising thianthol. CONSTITUTION:A skin cosmetic for removing an ephelis or a liver-spot (S) comprising thianthol, in the form of a solution, emulsion or ointment. The cosmetic is applied to bleach S with the unfaded skin in the ordinary color. The thianthol is a mixture of dimethylthianthrene of the formula CH3C12H6S2CH3 with ditoluene disulfide of the formula CH3C6H4SSC6H4CH2, and obtained by heating toluene with sulfur in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. AlCl3, at 120-130 deg.C under reflux. |
