1440169 Shearing SCHLOEMANN-SIEMAG AG 9 May 1974 [7 June 1973] 20425/74 Heading B3W In a rolling cut shear, the leading end 10 of the arcuate crank-driven blade 9 is preceded by a roller 13. Sheet 11, fed from right to left between shearing strokes by rollers 12, through a distance corresponding to the cutting length of the blades 3, 9, is still moving as the leading end 10 approaches the trailing end of the previous cut. The roller 13, projecting towards the fixed blade 3 slightly beyond the leading end 10, rolls along the severed sheet depressing it and so preventing the leading end 10 from scratching it. A roller 14 projecting slightly above the cutting edge of the fixed blade 3 and with its axis of rotation displaced relative to that of roller 13 supports the sheet.
|
