An inhalator for powdered substances consists of a cylindrical envelope(3) which can be turned against a spring(16) to bring the opening(4) into the filling position; a capsule(11) can then be pushed into the reception chamber (1). By turning the envelope(3) in the opposite direction two blades(12) pierce the capsule(11) making two small holes(13). The powder is drawn into the mouth via the inlet. After used, the empty capsule is removed by the spring-operated ejector(10) after turning the envelope to the filling and emptying position.
