PURPOSE:To permit a head to be easily shifted even if a relatively large gap is in the head passage by providing simple movable pistons on pressurized air injecting portions. CONSTITUTION:When somewhat different types of works are worked by a single machine unit in an apparatus for interchanging a heavy spindle head, a plurality of injection chambers 2 communicate respectively through injection ports 6 to supply ports 5 formed by the number corresponding to that of rows of the injection chambers, for example 5 rows in the direction of shifting the head 1. Beneath the respective chambers 2 of a head 1 are movably fitted pistons 3 and the chambers 2 communicate through second injection ports 4 provided in the pistons 3 to openings 4' in the respective lower surfaces of the pistons 3. Thus, the head 1 can be easily moved without any actual troubles in the shift of the head 1 even if a relatively large gap m is between a stock base 19 and base 17. |
