PURPOSE:The linear material to be irradiated is made to run in the space for electron-ray irradiation in a specified manner, thus enabling the uniform irradiation on both upper and lower surfaces of the linear material in spite of the vibration to prevent the material from making shadows on the other linear materials. CONSTITUTION:A linear material to be irradiated W, such as electric wire or cable covered with a plastic, is made to run in the space A between the irradiation window 2 for electron ray irradiator 1 and the irradiation absorber 3 as the first line a1. The linear material W that has passed through the space A is recycled by running outside the space to the inlet. Then, the linear material is made to turn up side and down by 180 deg.C between the first sieve 51 and the third sieve 53 and to run in the same horizontal plane as that of the first line a1 as the second line a2 in parallel with the first line a1. |
