A valve assembly apparatus (10) includes a Tee-fitting (14) and a rotary valve (16). The Tee-fitting has first and second end openings (26) and (28) and a third side opening (30). The rotary valve (16) has a rotational axis (32) extending laterally relative to the end openings (26) and (28). The rotary valve includes a first portion connectedto the third side opening (30), and a rotatable portion (22). The rotatable portion is rotatable between open and closed positions. Intermediate positions define a metering function of the rotary valve. A shutoff function can also be provided. |
