PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling effect of a current limiting resistor for an on-load tap changer and to reduce the size of the entire changer by winding the resistor inserted with stationary contact by wavy band-like metallic plate. CONSTITUTION:Respective phase statuonary contacts A1-A4 are arranged on the inner peripheral surface of an insulating cylinder 1, respective phase movable sector plates C1-C3 are rotated to change the loads. The limiting resistors R1, R2 inserted to the stationary contacts are circularly arranged under the load changing switch D, a resistant conductor 9 formed by continuously forming Ni-Cr alloy band-like high resistance metallic thin plate in wavy shape perpendicularly with respect to the longitudinal direction is superimposed with the insulating film 10 of glass cloth or the like on the frame 8 of conductive metal such as copper, aluminum or the like and spirally wound to form the resistors. In this manner, it can enhance the cooling effect of the limiting resistor so as to reduce that much the entire changer in size. |
