<p>TEXTILE TREATING COMPOSITION Pierre Charles Emile GOFFINET Jean-Pierre Charles Ignace Marie LECLERCQ A textile-treating composition comprises a fabric-substantive cationic surfactant and a water-insoluble salt of a carboxylic acid having from 16 to 24 carbon atoms. Particularly useful waterinsoluble salts are the calcium, aluminium or magnesium salts of stearic acid. Fabrics treated with the composition, either directly or in dilute aqueous solution, have enhanced softness and antistatic properties.</p> |
