PURPOSE:To reduce the disturbance of an electric field on the ends of parallel plate electrodes and to prevent the dielectric breakdown between the electrodes, by curving the both the ends of the parallel plate electrodes to gradually increase the distance between them. CONSTITUTION:Ink particles 3 ejected from the nozzle 2 of a head 1 are electrified by a charging electrode 4 and deflected by deflecting electrodes 5 so that the ink particles reach a prescribed position on recording paper 6. Both the ends B, C of parallel plates 101, 102 of the deflecting electrodes are curved outward to reduce the distortion of the electric field on both the ends B, C to diminish an adverse effect upon the ink particles. |
