PURPOSE:To obtain a superior frequency temperature characteristic even if a crystal resonator is made small-size, by setting the ratio of the diameter to thickness of the crystal resonator within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:In respect to the disc-shaped crystal resonator fromed from the plate obtained by turning the Y plate at approximately 35 deg. with the X axis as the rotation axis, d/t is set within a range of approximately 1.46-4.47 when the diameter and the thickness are denoted as d and t respectively. For the second, the fourth, and the sixth higher harmonics of bending vibration, d/t is set within ranges of approximately 1.46-2.1, approximately 2.9-3.9, and approximately 3.5-4.47 respectively. As a result, a superior frequency temperature characteristic can be obtained even in case that the resonator is made small-size. |
