摘要 PURPOSE:To realize a high performance minute optical circuit element in a simple constitution, by attaching a reflection type phase volume hologram to one end of a focusing rod lens having vertical end faces in the central axis. CONSTITUTION:Light of wavelength lambda1 is caused to enter optical fibers 8, 11, to form an interference fringe in a hologram recording material 7a. Light of wavelength lambda2 is caused to enter the optical fibers 8, 12 to overlap and record another interference fringe in the same recording material 7a. When the light of wavelength lambda1 is caused to enter from the fiber 8, the primary diffracted light is diffracted in a direction as if it were propagated from the fiber 11, and is converged in the position which is exactly in the imaging relation to the mounting position of the fiber 11. On the other hand, when the light of wavelength lambda2 is caused to enter the fiber 8, similarly, it is converged in the position located in the imaging relation to the mounting position of the fiber 12. Therefore, when the optical fibers are fitted in the positions corresponding to the converging positions of the two diffracted lights, the lights of wavelength lambda1 and lambda2 entering simultaneously from the fiber 8 are separated according to the wavelength, so that they may be picked up from two optical fibers separately.
