PURPOSE:To enable the good cleaning without thermal denaturation of properties of the developer moving in the conveying path by providing a conveying means to the developer conveying path so as to discharge the removed developer and disposing a temperature control means along the conveying path. CONSTITUTION:For the purpose of conveying the removed developer, a conveying pipe 11 provided with slit-form openings in its lower part is disposed approximately parallel between stay shafts 4 and 5. A screw conveyor 16 which is provided with screw blades 17 for conveying the developer in the pipe axial direction on the outside of a heat pipe 18 is provided within this pipe so that the removed developer is conveyed in the C direction. The heat pipe 18 provided in such pipe 11 is hermetically sealed with working fluid such as water therein and is provided with wicks W on the inside wall. In addition, plural heat dissipating plates F are provided at one end of the heat pipe 18 protruding outside the side plate so that the working fluid is cooled at this end side. Thereby, thermal denaturation of properties of the developer is prevented and the good cleaning may be performed. |
