PURPOSE:To make tracking control of high precision possible easily and securely by exercising position control corresponding to a phase difference between two kinds of reproduced video information corresponding to the recording of two heads differing in cap direction and having a difference is level. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head of VTR, etc., is formed of a couple of heads 45 and 46 differing in cap direction and having a level difference and the horizontal synchronizing signal, luminance burst signal, etc., of video information are recorded on corresponding tracks 51 and 52. When those recorded signals are reproduced by heads 45 and 46, fixed phase difference (t) between reproduced horizontal synchronizing signal 80 and burst signal 81 changes according to the direction and value of a tracking shift between heads 45 and 46. For the purpose, exercising servocontrol over the positions of heads 45 and 46 to obtain a fixed phase difference attains high- precision tracking control in reproduction easily and securely. |
