The rectangular block is a runner, its ends (d,e) abut similar blocks to form a course of blocks and the blocks are placed in line above each other so that joints aling. Insets (1) are provided for mortar bonding. Rectangular cell cutouts (A) extend for the full depth, as do half cutouts (a1,a2) which align with those of an adjacent block to form the same section as (A). These sections are then filled in-situ with insulating boards which pentrate several blocks. Other cutouts (8,9,10) make the blocks lighter, provide mortar frogs, but are sealed at the base.
|
