Military radar with anti-jamming and anti-location circuit - uses phase coded signals with amplitude varied as function of target distance

The radar system includes an emitter and a receiver connected to a processing circuit with a display and common aerial connected via a duplexer. There is also a synchroniser comprising a local oscillator. A phase coding circuit and a decoding circuit are included along with a circuit controlling the output power. The coding circuit is connected via the power control circuit to the duplexer and aerial. The coding circuit is connected to a frequency divider circuit which receives a sync. signal. A code modifying circuit is connected to both the transmitting and receiving circuits. The modifying circuit is connected to the processing circuit from which it receives information concerning the distance of the target. The power of the emission is then controlled via the modifying and power control circuits as a function of the target distance.
