The wheel and suspension assembly for a trailer chassis is in one piece. Wheels (7), forks (1) and suspension bars (4,8) or torsion bars can be fitted and removed in one movement. Each wheel is fitted to a lever arm (2) to a torsion bar or tube, in the direction of running. The torsion bars or tubes are fixed in seatings solid with each other and fitted to the vehicle at one point (6) for easy fixing. The chassis height and suspension resilience can be varied by adjustments on splines.
