<p>A composite plastic film comprises an inner layer of low pressure, high density polyethylene and two outer layers one of which is transparent and/or shiny. The outer layers pref. comprise polyolefins, one or both being pref. a high pressure, low density polyethylene, a grafted polyethylene, a resin ionomer e.g. an ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymer (sunlyn, RTM) or an EVA copolymer. The film is used for packaging foodstuffs. The outer layers provide transparency, gloss and aptitude to welding and perforation while the inner layer provides the necessary mechanical strength to the film.</p> |
