Cleaning damp maize in dryer - used screw flight which passes grain along duct with waste rising to top and clean grain discharged below

The installation comprises a duct (2) mounted horizontally. Inside the duct is a screw flight (5,6), its axis of rotation being adjustable below the duct centre line. The screw flight is powered by a motorised reduction unit (9,10) and uncleaned grain is fed from a hopper (3) at the same end. As the screw flight passes the grain along the duct, the waste material rises to the top and is discharged at the other end (4) of the duct. The cleaned grain passes through perforations (12) in the lower part of the duct and is removed (29,30,31).
