<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the escape of the odor of dust adhered to dust collector to the outside even when not in use by providing an activated carbon filter which is opened or closed according to operating conditions at an air intake. CONSTITUTION:When being connected to power source, the activated carbon filer 10 is opend, dust-containing air sucked up by the air intake 2 is flowed into the filter, coarse dust, moisture, etc., larger than the mesh of the filter 3 are removed, passed smoke, fine dust, etc., are directed to a dust collecting portion and then charged between the dust-collecting electrode 4 and the discharge line 6, and then the smoke, fine dust, etc., are adsorbed in the dust-collecting electrode 4. Gases and odors which escape from these processes are removed by the activated carbon filter provided at the exhaust port 9 and only the cleaned air is discharged to the outside of the appratus. When not connected to power source, the activated carbon filter 10 closes the air intake 8 to prevent the escape of the odors of dust, etc., adhered to the dust-collecting electrode 4 and the prefilter 3 to the outside of the apparatus through the air intake 2.</p> |
